During my visit, I couldn't resist trying their signature dish, which was a delicate balance of textures and flavors. The attention to presentation alone was worth the visit, but the explosion of taste brought it to a whole new level. Each mouthful was an experience, echoing the passion that the chefs pour into their craft.

We arrived about 6pm so definitely a peak time. Excellent service from Rachel and Lucy, as well as the rest of the team, even though it was extremely busy. We didn’t have to wait that long even with 2 big tables (both had over ten people). The seabass was great with a generous serving. The steak was cooked perfectly with a great seasoning. And the lamb had the most generous portion and incredible flavour ( both lamb steak and lamb shoulder). The Hake was also great with a very flavorful sauce. Overall, so impressed with food and service and will definitely be visiting again.

Had a lovely meal there today. Lots of choice, freshly cooked, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a log fire, what more do you need? Highly recommended.

I didn't take any photos which is a shame! Because the food was beautifully presented, with fantastic portion sizes! I had the house curry, fantastic flavours. My partner had the tikka burger, which seemed like a odd menu option. Once it arrived, it looked amazing and taster even better! We will be back, what a fantastic pub

Excellent food. The braised beef and lamb shoulder just fell apart and the extra gravy was a nice touch! Service was friendly and managed expectations about wait. Lovely views too. Enjoyed the sunset from the window. Bustling on a Tuesday night. Always a good sign

There are not enough words to describe how fantastic our experience was. We were very warmly welcomed with our pooch on the off chance on Valentines Day. The food was sublime. The portions were huge, and we felt a warmth from the staff. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you!!!

Bird in Hand, Fforest – A Pub Classic That’s Flying High! Right at the foot of the M4, Bird in Hand is absolutely booming every weekend—proving that the new management is nailing proper pub grub! What We Ate: Hunter’s Chicken – Smothered in BBQ sauce & cheese, with crispy sweet potato fries. Chef’s Curry – A fruity, mild delight with naan, poppadom, & half-and-half rice & chips. Fish Fingers, Mash & Peas – A hit with our little foodie! The standout? The homemade chips! Golden, fluffy, and seriously addictive. Don’t let the menu prices scare you! Portions are huge, and the quality is top-tier—worth every penny. We’re already planning a return for their Sunday Roast!

When i say you need to go here, I mean really really need to go. Booking at weekends is a must as it was heaving when we went. We arrived and were met by a pleasant young lady who showed us to our table. The decor was very nice not to overpowering nor too chincy. we were advised that there could be a 40-minute wait for the food it was way less than that. Drink orders were promptly taken and delivered. Now the food oh my days, they have a very expensive menue showcasing their own farmed lamb ( next vist for me). Starters I had cockles, bacon and larverbread in a creamy sauce served with homemade bread. Wife had halloum fries. Both were delicious. Our main dishes were on the specials board. For me, monkfish in Normandy sauce with muscle and apple chips (not fried) it was soooo tasty, really meaty fish, huge muscles, and some bread to mop up the sauce. Wife had chicken stuffed with cream cheese wrapped in palma ham. Chicken was still very moist. came with salad, fries and a sauce. When i say it was all very tasty, it really was. Be warned that the portion sizes are on the large side, plenty for me. The price was a shock in a good way. Folks, please give it a go. I promise you will not be disappointed. The photos don't do it justice tbf.

Visited for the first time with my girlfriend on 1st February to see the Elvis tribute artist and also to have a meal. It was extremely busy at 1900 when we arrived and we were told that there will be a wait of around an hour for our food which we didn’t mind. When the food arrived it was absolutely amazing and very delicious. Lucy M the waitress was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough to help. Will definitely be coming back soon and will certainly recommend you.
